On that same trip to Hilo with Dianne, I tried out a new bathtub I'm considering for my bathroom. In my 1904 house in Racine, I had a huge antique of a tub in which I'd soak, meditate, relax...you get the idea. The one I have currently is very utilitarian, smallish, and not comfortable - crooks my neck. But this project will have to wait until I have more money coming in.
Stupid Bali Goddess bed. Just read the essay. Praise God, that Faye finally decided against it.
I still get a little steamed at Dianne thinking about it. It's good that our relationship is bigger than this little incident.

Here's the spot on the lanai where Dianne wanted me to put it. That bed's just too imposing for the space.
Here's the daybed I finally did put out on the lanai. I've had guests sleep on it and they claim it is quite comfortable. I plan to try it this summer when it's too hot to sleep indoors. I'm thinking the screened-in lanai will catch any small breeze that comes by.
It's fun to be involved in local affairs. Dianne and I went to the County Council meeting where they were debating the allowance of up to four hens in residential areas. We were on different sides of the debate.
