Banana slugs and other critters

I wash and dry duck and chicken egg shells: A friend told me to add egg shells to the corn meal I get for ridding my garden of banana slugs. The slugs eat the crushed up shells along with the meal and it kills them faster. I'm sure my super strong duck egg shells will do an even better job.
Yes, we often have geckos visiting inside the house. They eat other bugs like mosquitoes and are darn cute with their posturing at each other.

When I went around with the house inspector before I bought this place, he showed me a couple of gecko eggs inside the electrical outlet boxes, explaining that it's warm in there and good for the eggs. He didn't bother to take them out.

The big duck eggs dwarf the little chicken eggs laid in our carport. But they make a great pair, as by using one of each in a recipe calling for two eggs, I don't have to adjust anything else in the recipe.
