We finally had the chance to make our presentation to the County Council on slowing the State down in its effort to pipe and fill in the Lower Hamakua Ditch. The council voted unanimously to support us. All we really want is a chance to talk about the issue and let all the stakeholders weigh in before the State does something irreparable. 
Kim and Thomas did some juggling of their own to finish screening in the lanai in time for a Women's Circle meeting. I love my new space! The screen door has a spring that slams it shut as you go out. It's such a wonderful sound of summer cottages - that boinggg, then the satisfying slam.

There's a reading and conversation area on the far end, an eating or study area in the middle, and my yoga mat on the other end. 

I bought both of the cute little table and chair sets from Stacy. She got the stenciled wood one from a Dutch woman when she lived in Europe for a couple years. The other set I had out on my front lanai; maybe I'll take it back out there. 

It's likely that I'll add a daybed for napping. Then something will have to give - probably the yoga mat.
