It's fun to watch the weather report that comes out of Honolulu on Oahu, the second larger island to the right in this satellite image. Hawai'i is spread across 360 miles of ocean - a huge spread for such a small state. Couple that with the altitude differences within each island, and the Honolulu weather report is always wrong...but just right for the tourists - sunny skies everywhere!
When I finally got this DVD from the library, it scared me all over again about the food we Americans eat. It reinforced my conviction that I needed to eat a flexitarian diet - mostly vegetables plus organic chicken and fish - wild caught if possible.

As a Cheesehead from Wisconsin, I’ve been an ice cream snob all my life. Now I find my favorite ice cream is made on Maui. This was also the ice cream that went the fastest at my birthday party, so I guess I’m not the only one who loves Mango and Cream.
